It started with arcade machines. Before certifications or corporate IT, he was keeping laser-tag equipment running in high school — diagnosing failures, sourcing parts, and solving problems with whatever was at hand. That instinct for hands-on problem solving never left.
He spent eight years at Memory Express — Canada's Premier computer hardware retailer, where customers bring serious hardware questions and expect real answers. Motherboards, CPUs, RAM, networking gear, custom builds. He moved through sales, the service desk, and team management, but his reputation was built on one thing: he was the person you brought the hard problems to. When a build wouldn't POST, when a network wouldn't hold, when nobody else could figure it out — that's when his name came up.
From there he moved into a managed services environment, part of a team supporting over 90 clients with environments ranging from 2 to 200 seats. He grew quickly into a trusted escalation point for Tier 3 staff — not because he held the right certifications, but because he had the right instincts. He owned project scoping, account management, and hands-on delivery from start to finish.
Today he manages the complete IT environment for a group of companies — infrastructure, security, planning, and ongoing support. Do IT Simply exists to bring that same level of competence and accountability to people who just want their tech to work.
